It’s really easy to forget that sandal are, in fact, made for walking. Lately, most of them seem much better equipped for sitting, if not outright lying down. If you look hard, though, you can still find designer options that lend themselves to extensive (or at least significant) foot travel, such as the Miu Miu Faux Snakeskin Leather Wedges. They may not be sky-high or particularly sexy, but you probably won’t hate yourself for taking these shoes for a spin around the mall.
Miu Miu Suddenly Remembers that Women Have to Walk Sometimes-Sandal

Written by admin on December 16th, 2011
If all work and no play makes for a dull girl, then these all-play, no-work sandals make for excitement that abounds! Lanvin ensures you make no mistake about it: this is a total vacation shoe that stands for all fun, all the time. Not on vacation? Wear this when you’re having a relaxed day lounging around, mojito in hand, or out for a night of carefree dancing in your favorite little white dress.
The front straps are artfully constructed of grosgrain ribbons, chains, and leather; cork makes up a flirty platform that brings lightness and casual flair; and rope and brown leather weave through the ankle strap for additional spirit: all of these elements work together for a picture-perfect beach scene complete with the outdoorsy feel of rattan (in the zig zag heel). That’s why you’ll want to keep these special shoes around for years: relaxed chic never goes out of style, especially in vacation spots like Miami and Hawaii which is precisely where you’ll be putting these to play.
Pair with: Stay in keeping with the crafty-glam spirit, and add Bottega Veneta’s oxidized-silver cuff. Beachy texture gets turned up with bewitching silk inserts and cowry shell embellishments.
The famous Louboutin superplatforms get the peep toe treatment for 2012-Sandles Shoes
Written by admin on December 2nd, 2011
If you ever doubted the devotion of Christian Louboutin’s horde of fangirls, the success of his Daffodil sandles shoes, at over six inches tall, should have been enough to erase that doubt. I’ve tried on a pair, and I genuinely don’t know how anyone does anything but stand perfectly still while wearing them. And yet, nearly every version of that shoe has sold out in short order; people can’t get enough of them.
With that in mind, it only makes sense that the line would expand to include other designs with the same perilously tall 2.4-inch platform. That’s where the Christian Louboutin Highness Pumps come in; is it just me, or does that peep toe look laughably small compared to the giant chunk of sandles shoes below it?
Miu Miu Resort 2012 Shoes: Sparkle On…and On…and On…Miu Miu Sandal Review
Written by admin on November 16th, 2011Miu Miu charges ahead on their bright path of irresistibly glittering shoes for Resort 2012, and who can blame them? Their sandal-effect Trompe d’Loeil bootie put sparkly shoes on the map this season – and was the most-worn shoe of this past Fashion Week.
Now they have changed it up a bit, but the styles are as twinkly as ever. They’ve also injected their massively popular Lucite heel into the cocktail.
Is a silver-glitter sandal ($990), shining like a disco ball and trimmed in metallic gold leather, overkill once you’ve added a heavily bejeweled heel? Not for the die-hard, trend-loving fashionista who would never utter the words, “less is more.” No, less is just less – and these are lots!
Or elect a more controlled dose of sparkle with the slightly nuanced T-strap style ($990). Blush-nude and black suede mellows it out a bit. Take it into genuine seventies territory courtesy of a retro-inspired wedge ($650)– red suede and black glitter makes for an interesting twist that can carry you from holiday parties to resort-wear fun.
From Miu Miu, the message is loud and crystal-clear: never, ever stop sparkling.
